The Ore Search Group is lead by Terry Stanley, an Australian industry professional with immense experience of operating drilling and mining services businesses, internationally.
His team is managed by a young and entrepreneurial Guinean General Manager, and by Australian technical professionals.
Ore Search has focused on West Africa, bringing world class operating standards to Tier 1 Clients operating in the region. It operates the largest independent fleet of drilling rigs in Guinea, and as one of the largest dedicated contractors in the region, everything that Ore Search delivers in Guinea and West Africa is supported by its local team and operating footprint.
Guinea is home to significant mineral wealth: with an estimated 2/3rd of the world’s bauxite resources, Guinea is second only to Australia in global production; it contains the largest undeveloped high grade iron ore deposits in the world; and is an emerging large scale gold producer. Guinea is attracting the worlds largest mining companies. With this, comes improved infrastructure, education and development that has the potential to make Guinea into a major economic success story in West Africa. With a stable Government and fiscal policies, it was ranked #1 Mining Investment Destination in Africa by the Fraser Institute in 2019.

Our depth of local experience results in reliable and pragmatic outcomes
Ore Search commenced its first drilling contract in Guinea 16 years ago. Since then, it has successfully operated predominantly in West Africa, in Guinea, Liberia, Sierra Leone, and Cote D’Ivoire, experiencing both the boom times and the challenging times, while maintaining operational support for its clients at all times.
The business and its operators know how to work all year round, in the full range of environments and conditions from the northern savanna to the southeastern rain-forests. Ore Search operates across all commodities, having provided solutions to gold miners and explorers, iron ore miners, bauxite and alumina operators, as well as base metals explorers and miners.
With over 280 staff in Guinea, Ore Search has multiple operating centres providing training for local staff which make up 95% of our total headcount.
The operating centres provide equipment, maintenance and logistics support to our clients, enabling rapid mobilization and continuity of service for our clients.
We are investing in world class cloud-based reporting systems to collect, manage, analyse and report data and information to our clients where-ever in the world they happen to be.
